Metal Gates Shipley

All of ASE Autogate’s wrought iron gates and steel gates are hand crafted by our team of specialist fabricators. Our security gates are bespoke made to suit individual customer design requirements, each gate is then fully galvanised to prevent against rusting and then powder coated to provide a high quality durable finish.

The correct size hinges are chosen for each application to suit the weight of the gates and the amount of use the security gates are likely to receive.

If possible we prefer to hinge the gates from steel support posts. The posts will be concreted into the ground to carry the weight of each gate. If the posts are to be on view they will have the same finish as the gates, alternatively the posts can be installed in such a way as to allow a stone or brick pillar to be erected around the steel work. The gates then take their strength from the steel posts and do not rely on the pillar to carry the weight of the gate.

Ground levels are a contributing factor in the system’s design and reliability. For the optimum results the ground should be as level as possible or falling away from the underside of the gates as they open.
