As the proprietor overseeing an Automated System, it is imperative to ensure the proper maintenance and safety of the entire automated infrastructure, including gates, barriers, doors, and roller shutters. Routine servicing is pivotal in upholding the ongoing safety and reliability of the entire system. It is highly advisable to conduct these services regularly, even if the equipment is still under warranty, as a proactive measure for preventive maintenance. Regular annual servicing can significantly reduce the need for numerous callouts.
A comprehensive service entails various checks across the entire system, including:
- Inspection of all hydraulics with oil changes if necessary
- Evaluation of Control Panel Operating Logics
- Examination of all wiring terminations with necessary reconnections
- Testing of all Safety Devices, such as Photocells, Safety Induction Loops, and Safety Edges
- Testing of all Control Devices, such as Intercoms, keypads, push switches, transmitters, etc.
- Cleaning and testing of Electromechanical or Magnetic locks
- Cleaning of Electronic Control Panel Circuit Board
- Cleaning of Drive Units
- Greasing of all working parts
- Inspection and tightening of gate racking as needed
- Completion of an engineer’s worksheet after the service
