We recommend automatic gate systems are serviced at least once per year to prolong the working life. We have posted some before and after pictures of a foundation box (unit which houses the motor) which our service engineer, Mick Smith, recently attended to. As you can see from the photos the foundation box was a mess and this can happen to your system, should it go unserviced for a prolonged period of time as dirt and debris makes it way into the box and will not drain through the soakaways (assuming they have been installed).
